Star Diving Club's learn to dive programme is a fun and challenging environment which caters for all ages and abilities. We run sessons for children and adults alike so there is something for everyone.
Children's Learn to Dive
We provide lessons for children aged six or seven up to 16 years who can swim 25m and are confident in deep water without goggles. Our learn-to-dive programme follows a grade scheme which covers levels 1-10 of progressive skills (see below).
These begin with basic jumps and movements from poolside and progress to dives and jumps from the 1, 3 and 5m boards. Children work towards one grade per term. Assessment is 'ongoing' throughout term, with certificates and badges awarded towards the end of term as each level is passed.
We run two club competitions a year - summer and winter - for all our learn to dive programme. Everyone from the newest beginner to the more advanced is welcome. It is a great opportunity to have a go at competing in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment.
Once children pass level 10 they are invited to join our Novice Squad, where they can start to compete at external meets and represent the club.
We run adult sessions on Mondays from 7.15pm-8.15pm and on Wednesdays from 7.45pm-8.45pm.
We run a variety of term-time sessions for different abilities, six days a week. For further information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
