Every term the coaches meet and discuss nominations for divers of the term: one from our learn-to-dive lessons and one from our squads.
The coaches are looking for divers who may have overcome a specific skill or fear, or someone who is consistently trying their best, is motivated at every session and has great attendance.
From our lessons, we wanted to recognise Caroline for her hard work and positive attitude this term. By working on her coaching feedback, technique and posture, she has made huge improvements resulting in her dives reaching a higher standard and becoming more consistent. She has also been willing to try new dives and has learnt both an inward dive tuck and a back dive tuck in only one term. It has been rewarding to see her hard work pay off and her enjoy the sport. Keep up the good work Caroline - we look forward to seeing what you can achieve next term!
From our squads, we have chosen Seth who is fairly new to our squad system, having come through our recreational programme. He passed level 10 and progressed to our Novice Squad. Since moving into the squad system, he has been very focused and motivated about improving his diving and dryland work. His attitude towards training reflects in his dives, which have really improved in technique and standard. He is a great example of how it is possible to work your way through our learn-to-dive stages and then thrive in our squad system. Keep up the great attitude in training, Seth - and we are excited to see your diving continue to improve!
